Skirt Week Take #1
First I'd like to say hello to all my new followers! I actually appreciate each of you and take been trying my best to a) put together some content you might be interested in, b) return comments, and c) visit each of your blogs so I can "go to know you lot." I know xviii doesn't seem like much, but it is nearly double the friends I had ii weeks ago! You all make me very happy. Now, down to business organisation…
I ready my goal at 4 entries for the upcoming Skirt Week, and am excited to cantankerous the first from my list a good 2 weeks earlier the deadline. I actually started this i before I got meaning with Reli (coughing cough, she's near 2), and but never got around to finishing the waistband, adding the zipper, and hemming it. Well let'southward face it, that ways I cut information technology out and sewed two seams before putting information technology bated for something else.
Now I know what you may be thinking…
Holy Effulgence Batman!!
At least that's what I was thinking when I pulled it from the pile. I'm non usually a large fan of colors or prints for that matter, and Ant says it looks like a cracked out Easter egg. (Ha! pun.) I'm trying to convince myself that information technology is more Lilly Pulitzer-esque. For some reason I've been enjoying that shop quite a flake lately. Not their price, but the way, on other people…you know…ones with tans and perfect pilus! My skirt isn't so different from the ane with the teal polo, until y'all throw in the fact that mine is seersucker.
I know information technology isn't a difficult or fancy skirt, but with a fabric like that, it doesn't have to be. Now I simply take to find something in my cupboard to wear with it. Even though I'thou unremarkably a creature of black t's and jeans, I may be able to scrounge up a teal T-shirt or pink tank.
Any suggestions from those of yous with a passion for prints and brights? Would yous wear it? and what with? I'd love some suggestions!
Please ignore the lumpy stomach, I folded upwardly the T-shirt and hubby didn't bother to indicate it out before taking the pictures. |
Now I know I was lacking in posts terminal week, only I truly was decorated. Exist sure to cease back Midweek for a new feature I'thou calling Bookworm Wed, all nigh the arts and crafts books you've been drooling over.
Thank you for visiting!
